Comlight and Flashnet today announced a strategic cooperation on integrating radar-based motion detection technology into Flashnets inteliLIGHT product concept. Comlight provides advanced radar-based motion detection light controllers both in pole-mount and Zhaga versions, and the technology will be integrated with Flashnets light controllers at the luminaire level.



An advanced doppler radar motion sensor is mounted at each light point. The sensor controls the light intensity of the road lighting, and if there is no traffic, the light is reduced. The light is increased to full power when a car, bicycle or pedestrian is detected. The sensors communicate wirelessly and sends messages of oncoming traffic, creating a "light wave" in front of the traffic. The system offers substantial energy savings along with maximum safety by providing full light when there is traffic.

Comlight today announced the launch of its Eagle Eye Zhaga motion detection light controller for outdoor and street luminaires.  

The product controls outdoor- and street luminaires based on advanced radar motion detection. Using experience from the successful Comlight Eagle Eye pole-mount technology, the system is easily deployed on dimmable LED luminaires with a Zhaga connector. The sensor can act both as a standalone motion detection luminaire controller or as an occupancy sensor under a third-party controller. It is designed in accordance with the latest Dali-2, ZD4i and Zhaga book 18 specifications.

THE GREEN SHIFT   In Norway alone, around 1 terawatt-hour (tWh) of electricity is used annually to light state, county, municipal and private roads. This corresponds to approximately the annual electricity consumption of 50,000 Norwegian households. As the luminaires are switched to LED, this will cut consumption by half. Furthermore, smart solutions such as Comlight technology will further reduce energy consumption by at least 30%. In Norway, the Comlight system will be able to save as much as 150 gWh per year, corresponding to the consumption of over 7,500 households.

Comlight lanserer i dag sin Eagle Eye Zhaga lysstyringssensor for ute- og gatebelysning.

Produktet styrer ute- og gatelysarmaturer gjennom en avansert bevegelsessensor basert på radardeteksjon. Basert på teknologi fra tidligere versjoner av Eagle Eye, installeres produktet enkelt på armaturer med Zhaga konnektor. Sensoren vil både fungere som en selvstendig lampekontroller og som en tilstedeværelse-sensor under en 3de-parts lyskontroller. Produktet er designet i henhold til de seneste Dali-2, ZD4i og Zhaga Book-18 spesifikasjonene.


COMLIGHT TEKNOLOGI  Comlight-løsningen inneholder en avansert radarsensor som er integrert med en lyskontroller, og som monteres i hvert lyspunkt. Systemet styrer intensiteten på belysningen gjennom deteksjon av mennesker eller kjøretøyer. Lyset økes til fullt nivå når det er bevegelse på veien eller i gaten, ellers dimmes lysstyrken ned. Sensorene benytter trådløs radiokommunikasjon for å sende trafikkmeldinger fremover, og skaper en «bølge av lys» foran trafikanten. Systemet er fullstendig autonomt og selvkjørende, men kan også integreres med et IoT kontrollsenter. Systemet sikrer betydelige energibesparelser og reduserer negative miljøeffekter samtidig som trafikanter alltid får fullt lys når det er trafikk. Comlights løsninger kan også benyttes på gang- og sykkelstier, parkeringsplasser, idrettsplasser og annet.


DET GRØNNE SKIFTET  I Norge alene, brukes rundt 1 terawatt-time (tWh) kraft på riks- og fylke-, kommunale og private veier. Dette tilsvarer forbruket til omlag 50.000 husstander. Overgang til LED-armaturer vil senke forbruket til det halve. Smarte, energibesparende løsninger som Comlight vil redusere forbruket med ytterligere 30%. I Norge vil Comlights løsninger spare så mye com 150 gWh (gigawatt-timer) per år, tilsvarende forbruket til 7.500 husstander.


COMLIGHT  Comlight AS ble etablert i 2007. Teknologien er utviklet og forbedret over lang tid, og har oppnådd et høyt modenhetsnivå. Det er allerede installert flere hundre anlegg i og utenfor Europa. Comlight vil stille ut på fagmessen Light+Building 8-13 Mars i Frankfurt.
