Zhaga-D4i is a joint certification program from the DALI Alliance and the Zhaga Consortium, indicating plug-and-play interoperability of sensors, communication nodes, and luminaires. The Zhaga-D4i ecosystem of lighting products enables smart, future-proof LED luminaires with IoT connectivity. At the 2021 DALI Awards, Comlight won the "Best use of Zhaga D4i" category.
Comlight Eagle Eye Zhaga is a plug-and-play motion sensing control system. It can either act as an independent light controller or as a DALI 303 Occupancy Sensor Input Device in partnership with a third-party light controlling node.
The system uses a 24 GHz Doppler radar to detect motion. Depending on the focus angle of the sensor, different areas of the road can be monitored. Radio communication between the nodes takes care of lighting up the road ahead.
Installation of the sensor takes only a minute. After installation, the system is commissioned remotely. The owner can adjust parameters as needed and usefully read statistics and dimming histories of single sensors or of the installation as a whole.
